Description
Clarke Schools for Hearing & Speech seeks an experienced HR Generalist to handle the day-to-day HR operations of a multi-state nonprofit organization. This is a full-time, non-exempt, benefit-eligible position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for staff for HR-related needs or issues
- Assist with recruitment including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Initiate and administer the new hire onboarding process in Paylocity
- Audit Benefit enrollment and benefit invoices monthly to ensure accuracy
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with Director, HR with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed by partnering with other Clarke teams such as Finance/Accounting
- Assist with employment contract renewals preparation and annual salary increase letters
- Support the annual review process
- Support with all audits (workers compensation, 403b retirement account)
- Report employer/employee data to local municipalities and or federal agencies
- Contribute to HR processes improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources operations or administration
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems such as Paylocity
- Comfort with remote work and technology
- Certification in HR is preferred but not required
