Cityscape Recruitment is Hiring an Estimator Near Atlanta, GA

THE COMPANY

My client is a commercial general contractor based in Atlanta that works in the hospitality, finance and entertainment markets focussing on special projects and interiors works. Their clients include Atlanta’s most iconic companies such as Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines.

THE ROLE

As an Estimator, you'll play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and supporting the bidding process. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure that our projects are competitively priced while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Bid Preparation: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with project managers to identify project requirements, establish budgets, and assist in value engineering efforts.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation. Generate reports and summaries for internal review and client presentations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methodologies to improve estimating techniques and cost-saving opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 1 – 8 years' experience working as an Estimator
  • Estimating experience working for a General Contractor preferred
  • Experience working on hospitality, finance or entertainment projects desirable
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
