Senior Program Manger to lead accomplishment of research and development core and IDIQ tasks in collaboration with government customer, academic institutions, and other entities. Responsible for managing cost and schedule controls for large civilian agency contract in Battelle's Research Infrastructure business line. Senior Program Manager will provide managerial, and technical, leadership to diverse R&D teams with diverse technical skills. This position is based in Silicon Valley Area in California.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Engage with customer representatives to understand and develop their research needs and solutions by defining scopes that result in high quality results.
• Collaborate with academic institutions and other R&D entities to develop, refine, and enhance solutions for customer mission and task objectives.
• Collaborate with other Federal entities, including ARMD, DoD, DARPA, FAA, and others.
• Manage activities associated with program and research execution.
• Ensure timely, high quality customer deliverables related to cost, schedule, and performance.
• Perform related work as needed to fulfill requirements of the contract.

Mandatory:

• Master's Degree in Aerospace or related engineering discipline plus seven (7) years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's Degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading staff.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed R&D personnel and teams.
• Manage the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations for proper implementation of multiple programs and systems.
• Ability to manage multiple individual concurrent tasks, often worth $1 million , from planning to completion.
• Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
• Proven record of managing budget and schedule.
• Competence to function efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
• Ability to acquire/maintain Secret Security Clearance.
