Chrysalis is Hiring an Administrative Assistant: Representative Payee Near Orem, UT

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Representative Payee Manager. As an organizational representative payee for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we are entrusted with managing individual's Social Security income. We receive their income and help them budget their money by paying their rents, utilities, medical copays, and other bills. We communicate with their team and caregivers to ensure they have the resources they need for groceries and activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients by ensuring their financial and medical bills are paid so they can continue to thrive in the community.
We are located right off I-15 in Orem Utah. We have an amazing team of professionals that will provide on-the-job training. This is a job where you will be directly able to make a difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of clients receiving Social Security benefits.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly recurring procedures like paying all rents, utilities, and medical copays.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with the area offices that care for the individuals we serve.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients' needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Setup utilities, cable, phone, and internet when a new home is opened.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
  • Previous experience in finance, accounting, social services, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Compassionate and patient, with the ability to empathize with clients' situations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Will be working in Quickbooks to generate checks, record payments to landlords, utility companies and tracking all expenses.
