Your Mission:

As a Youth Program Manager, you'll work closely with the Children & Youth Department Director to plan, implement, and coordinate developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive after-school programs. Your mission is to create an enriching environment that fosters academic growth, personal development, and cultural appreciation among our youth.

Your Impact:

As a Youth Program Manager you will:

  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of after-school programs, ensuring compliance with licensing, funding, and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee activities such as community service opportunities, tutoring, field trips, and academic enrichment, fostering holistic development among participants.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships to enhance program offerings and opportunities for students.
  • Assist in managing the program budget and handling government grants and foundation responsibilities.
  • Provide supervision, training, and support to staff, volunteers, and summer youth, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other CASL departments and community stakeholders to optimize program resources and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and trends in youth development through ongoing professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate after-school programs in compliance with standards and community needs.
  • Oversee activities and partnerships to enhance program offerings.
  • Manage program budget and assist in grant management.
  • Provide supervision, training, and support to staff and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with other CASL departments and stakeholders.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum two years' experience in youth development, including one year of coordination/supervisory experience.
  • Chinese/English bilingual.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in an office setting with flexibility to work with children in the classroom and in an outdoor setting
  • Ability to Monday through Friday
    • CPS School Year
      • 9:00 am - 6:30 pm
        • Shift will be 8 hours: 9:00 - 5:00, 10:00 - 6:00 or 10:30 - 6:30
        • Must be flexible to assist in supporting the schedule to cover shifts for leaders and tutors when they are off
    • CPS Breaks & Summer Hours
      • 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
        • Shift will be 8 hours.
        • Must be flexible to assist in supporting the schedule to cover shifts for leaders and tutors when they are off

Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
