Program Assistant
Minimum Qualifications:
AA related degree in the Human Services Field or 3 years experience working with special populations.
Responsibilities:
· Complete Representative Payee, Medical Assistance, EID, and Contribution to Care, Food Stamp applications for all qualifying residents; complete Social Security payee reports and other required re-determinations and update information for all qualifying residents. Assist as needed to set up ABLE accounts and monitor account activity.
· Monitor the individuals’ income and expenses to prevent assets from exceeding limits required for Medicaid with program coordinator.
· Maintain all Individuals EBT cards (Balances, Track users, Review receipts
· Review and balance CCT binders weekly for all residents.
· Account for Wal-Mart, Acme, Weiss, and Vise charge cards, track users and review receipts.
· Prepare weekly charge receipts for Director’s review / approval, ensuring proper charges for individuals, household, and food.
· Review Individuals account balances to ensure a $200 balance is left after check requests.
· Review transportation/mileage documentation for monthly billing.
· Track Pre/Post Vehicle inspections, monthly vehicle checks from houses.
· Maintain up to date records including removal of designated records from main record and dead file prior to annual PCP meeting; update face sheet annually and as needed.
· Scan records as needed.
· Order supplies as needed (Boost, Breeze, Simply Think-it, Paper Products, Gloves. Sanitation Supplies) and track distribution to houses / individuals.
· Monthly House Checks
· Monthly Vehicle Checks
· File in binders monthly, hanging file monthly, and other as needed.
· Routine demonstration of adherence to principles of person-centered thinking and planning; perpetuate values of respect, self-determination, and choice.
· Act as liaison between community and CGH; represent CGH professionally at all community events and center meetings when community members are present, as directed.
· Attend meetings as requested by the Residential Director.
· Work hours will be flexible based on priority needs of CGH, the needs of the individuals, and on inclement weather.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements of Work:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to include accuracy of information communicated required for sound decision making.

· Knowledge of behavioral terminology and the ability to read and write in these terms.
· Exhibits teamwork through effective working relationship with other staff members; provide assistances to other departments as needed.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities through efficient time management in order to keep work up to date.
· Ability to communicate courteously with families of individuals served by the program.
· Experience on Microsoft Office and internet usage required.
· Necessary to maintain confidentiality concerning all records.
Nature of Work:
· The employee in this classification receives general direction from the Residential Services Director and Program Coordinator; changes in work hours or schedule to be approved by Director.
· Work is evaluated in terms of overall professionalism, ability to meet deadlines, and adherence to regulations and policies.
