CHE Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a Controller Near Phoenix, AZ

Overview

CHE Behavioral Health is seeking a full time Controller-This positions requires healthcare experience for consideration.

This will be a remote position with rare/occasion Leadership travel when required. If interested in this position please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.

CHE has been operating since 1995 and employs over 800 psychology and psychiatry providers to deliver care virtually and in person at various care settings. We deliver a unique programmatic approach to behavioral health services and are focused on quality and compliance for facilities and in our outpatient settings. We are looking for aggressive, talented, ambitious, engaging, innovative, and all-around balanced individuals to join our team.

General Summary

The Controller oversees the accounting, treasury and financial reporting operations of the company. Duties include process and system improvements, creation of and/or adherence to policies, procedures and internal controls and the overall accuracy of the financial records and reporting. The Controller will lead the corporate accounting team and will liaison with company personnel to optimize all facets of the financial operations and reporting of the company.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

Within the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with Revenue Cycle leaders, Operations leaders, and Corporate Accounting team members throughout CHE Behavioral Health. Provides immediate supervision of all accounting team members.

Outside the organization:

-Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary.

-Provides strategic accounting leadership and assists the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly-close processes.

-Proactively builds team, processes and systems infrastructure in a high growth environment. ----Produces recommendations for senior leadership and leads system enhancements and/or implementations.

-Presents financial information or other analyses to leadership.

-Oversees working capital and cash management processes and reporting.

-Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of

controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk and increase consistency and accuracy.

-Oversees the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports; ensures reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles including new standards as required.

-Produces annual budgets, report budget vs. actual monthly and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.

-Provides financial analysis and supports expense management initiatives, as required.

-Works with an external CPA firm for the successful completion of annual tax filings.

-Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

-Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in the healthcare industry. Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent management and supervisory skills

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software

Mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to function independently

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to function calmly under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical forms and financial reports

Income Range for this position is $150,000-$165,000/year
