Charlie Palmer Steak IV is Hiring a Line Cook Near New York, NY
Responsibilities:
- Report to Executive Chef
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked
- Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Follow all recipes and plating guides
- Work well with BOH team and FOH staff
- Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Clean all prep areas and properly store ingredients
- Stock inventory and supplies
- Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as line cook or relevant role
- Has experience working in hotel environment
- A passion for hospitality, cooking, and the guest experience
- Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
- Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
- Creative & Team oriented
- Fine Dining experience a plus
