Position Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: Senior HR Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Corwith, IA.
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting and onboarding staff, benefits administration, assisting employees with leaves of absence, and enforcing company policies and practices
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with recruitment and interview process as needed
Assist with new employee orientation/onboarding processes
Assist with termination/offboarding process
Maintain employee files and records in electronic form
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining job descriptions for all non-exempt positions within our company
Answer employee requests and questions regarding payroll, timecards, leave of absence, benefits, staffing, etc.
Understand company's organizational structure and maintain good knowledge of personnel policies and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
Assist in administration of employee health and welfare plans
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, employee benefits and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations of hourly/line level staff
Perform other duties to support HR needs as assigned
Qualifications:
Over 3 years of HR Generalist experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Experience with Applicant Tracking System and HRIS (Knowledge of ADP preferred)
Excellent organizational skills
Experience in Employee Benefits and Leave of Absence
Considerable skill in interviewing techniques
Bilingual in English & Spanish
Preferred Skills:
Associates Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Active PHR or SHRM-CP.
Capable of relating to individuals at all levels
