Centrum Valley Farms is Hiring a Human Resource Administrator Near Clarion, IA

Job Summary:

Implementation of corporate human resource policies and procedures. Responsible for the day to day coordination of HR functional responsibilities, including, staffing, time and attendance and office administration.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Communicate and demonstrate policies and procedures to ensure a clear understanding by all employees.
  • Coordinate/Conduct harassment prevention training.
  • Maintain and monitor all personnel files to be complete and up to company standards.
  • First point of contact for employees for time and attendance.
  • First point of contact representing HR Office Reception area.
  • Assist with the e-Verity process, I-9 forms, documentation accuracy.
  • Assist with new hire data entry into HRIS system, complete onboarding actions. ADP Access/Timeclocks
  • Responsible for new hire folders with the guidance of recruiters.
  • Attend local and corporate business meetings as requested.
  • Ensure accuracy of all HR record keeping.
  • Assist managers and supervisors with coaching and corrective action procedures.
  • Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
  • Conduct new employee orientation.
  • Assist in employee Retention initiative
  • Manage company events such as employee recognition luncheons and annual meetings.
  • Provide translation and interpreting services as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining active and terminated employee files.
  • Run CVF/ICF Motor vehicle records as needed
  • Run all necessary contractor time reporting
  • Assist with interview scheduling for recruiting purposes.
    • Jazz – reports for recruiting and data entry
  • Inventory and order all HR office supplies.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree with HR emphasis or related field.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in HR helpful.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge of HR programs, federal, state, and local employment laws. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

PREFERRED SKILLS: PHR certification. Agribusiness experience preferred. Bi-lingual English/Spanish. Must have excellent communication skills-verbal, writing, and tech ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long period of time. General climate controlled office environment. Will be required to visit all operations as requested. Temperature at work sites will vary depending upon season and location. Exposure to various elements inherent with Agriculture production.
