CATHOLIC CHARITIES MAINE is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Portland, ME
Catholic Charities Maine Finance Department in Portland has a Full-Time, 40 hour per week, opening for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for accurate analysis, accounting processes, reconciliations, asset monitoring and report generation in the Finance area of Catholic Charities Maine Central Services. Additional responsibilities include:
- Identifying, analyzing, researching, and then recommending and implementing resolutions of all errors or concerns. Shall identify if an error is large or has risk and shall bring this to the attention of the Accounting Manager, with recommended solutions.
- Must meet all deadlines concerning general ledger reporting.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associates Degree with a major in Accounting or related field or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting analysis and functions is preferred.
- Proficiency with personal computer systems and Microsoft Office is required. Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
- Microsoft General Dynamics/Great Plains experience preferred, but not required.
