Catholic Charities Maine is Hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant Near Bath, ME

Jessie Albert Dental and Orthodontic Center (JADOC) in Bath, Maine is a well-respected clinic with over 40 years of experience in the community. We are committed to the mission of Catholic Charities Maine to bring help & hope to Maine’s most vulnerable.

We currently have an opening for a Full-Time (4 days per week) Orthodontic Assistant. We are looking to hire someone who will make this a career and join our team of dedicated professionals. The Orthodontic Dental Assistant is the person responsible for patient care under the direct supervision of the orthodontist and preventive dental education of the patient under the general supervision of the orthodontist.

Duties: We will train the right candidate!

  • Remove & insert archwires, basic wire bending and fit orthodontic bands
  • Sterilize instruments
  • Bonding of brackets
  • Complete lab work, taking dental impressions, and making retainers
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients

Qualifications:

  • Will enjoy working with children and adults in a fast-paced environment and have good people, organizational, and lab skills.
  • Must have good fine motor skills and dexterity.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Maine certification in Radiography.
  • Experience in either a private practice or public health setting is preferred, but exceptions can be made for the right candidate that shows excellent didactic and clinical skills.
  • Experience with Dentrix and/or Dolphin a plus!

Salary: Starting salary $18.00 - $20.00/hour, contingent with experience.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Thursday; 7:30AM – 4:00PM
