General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works is Hiring a Warehouse material handler Near Brunswick, ME
Job Description
This is a mid-level position to work as a Material Handler with the COSAL group at the West Bath Complex. Applicants may be assigned any H18 Trade tasks, but will primarily be assigned to the following.
- Receive new shipments of material at warehouses and facilities.
- Receive and process material utilizing appropriate BIW inventory systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Operate bar-code scanners.
- Loadout of ships material.
- Operate hand tools.
Pay range for this position is $26.00 / hr - $27.00 / hr.
Required / Preferred Education / Training
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prospective candidates must pass a fork-lift competency test at time of interview
Required / Preferred Experience
- One year forklift experience required.
- Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft office products and use of Inventory systems.
- Must meet the requirements of the H18 physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs and ladders and other shipboard activities.
- 1 year of warehousing experience preferred.
