Description

We are looking for an individual that has the ability to manage all functions of the Accounts Payable Department. The position will work directly with the accounting team and the Controller to oversee Cascadia’s accounts payable needs. We are looking for someone who cares about the details and who has a passion for teaching and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable Department, currently a team of 6.
• Build strong relationships with leaders across Cascadia
• Promote a culture consistent with Cascadia’s values within the Accounts Payable Department 
• Act as administrator for cloud-based invoice system to maintain and update interface files, maintain invoice routing, create and maintain users, trouble shoot issues.
• Train new users across the organization on invoice system
• Manage and create relationship with new and existing vendors 
• Oversee the preparation and review of corporate accounts payable policies and procedures
• Oversee weekly check run process 
• Implement new processes and systems to increase efficiencies and cost savings within the organization and the Accounts Payable Department
• Manage the annual process to create and file form 1099s
• Manage the unclaimed property process
• Work on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed

Requirements

• BS Degree in Accounting or Business Preferred
• 5-7 years progressive accounts payable experience including supervisory experience
• Great Plains experience helpful
• Healthcare accounts payable experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• Strong analytical skills, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in fast paced, often stressful environment
• Ability to work diligently with attention to details under minimal supervision
• Accustomed to working under strict deadlines; able to work overtime as needed
