PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee operations of all DSD (Direct Store Delivery).
- Responsible for managing all drivers and Staff.
- Responsible for maintaining effective communications with all customers.
- Responsible for all direct P/L’s.
- Responsible for maintaining DSD fleet for operation and safety.
- Responsible for maintaining and developing vendor relationships.
- Provide operations training and guidance to newly acquired drivers.
- Manage all of the safety related duties required by federal and local regulations. Keep the company standards in order and within compliance.
- Be proactive with customers, build a relationship, communicate, visit face to face and by phone, prevent issues before they become a problem, resolve any issues, and keep their business.
- Communicate with HR by email, PTOs, disciplinary actions, unemployment, worker’s compensation, employment verification, resignations, recruitment, etc and any other HR related issue.
- Consult with HR on the resolution of difficult employee relations issues and provide strong direction on counseling, termination, policy interpretation, and general HR issues and decisions based on knowledge of employment laws.
Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office, and Word.
* Strong computer skills.
* Excellent communication skills and customer service background.
* Willingness to travel to all areas for customer/site visits.
* At least 3 years of experience in Logistics, Operations, Materials, and/or Warehousing.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in management and/or team leadership.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be highly organized.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, strong management and team building skills.
* Demonstrated good decision making and problem solving skills.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
