About the Role:

Product Marketing is a rapidly growing discipline within Marketing. It sits at a unique cross-section of the company, bridging Product, Sales and Marketing to ensure our products are addressing dealer pain points and being positioned in a way that makes them a must-buy. This work is pivotal in achieving our OKRs such as Growing dealer customers, Unlocking the cross-sell and Transforming OEM relationships.
A big part of this work is competitive intelligence on competing products. This allows us to understand where the white space is and where dealers' needs might not be met. It's a big job and we’d love to introduce an Intern to the world of Product Marketing with an emphasis on competitive research. This would mean gaining an understanding of our products, developing a list of competitors and developing a framework that allows us to keep tabs on competitive features and developments. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Gain an understanding of Cars Commerce products
• Develop a list of competing products and companies
• Monitor competitive features and updates
• Develop a framework to report out on competitive differentiation and white spaces
• Evaluate competitive research companies like Crayon and Klue.

Qualities that make you the right candidate:

• An interest in the cross-section of Product Management and Marketing
• A willingness to learn
• Organization & attention to detail
• Self starter
• Experience in performing and cataloging internet-based research 

Preferred qualifications:

• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Communications; rising Seniors preferred.

About Our Internship Program:

Our Summer Internship Program at Cars Commerce is designed to help undergraduate students learn professional skills through a combination of mentorship, on the job training, in-person skills training/development days, and team projects.

Program Details & Benefits:

• Program Duration: June 10th - August 16th
• Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Location: Hybrid (Work remote and work from the office 1-2 days out of the week)
