Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Finance & Accounting team as a Senior Accountant. As a Senior Accountant you will report to the Manager, Stock Based Compensation, and be a key member of the accounting team primarily responsible for the accounting of payroll transactions and supporting stock administration and accounting process.
How you will make an impact:
- Timely completion of month end process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for payroll, bonus, and related benefit accounts.
- Bonus accrual calculation and reconciliations.
- Support non-controlling interest calculation and reconciliations.
- Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP) administration which includes: enrollment, purchases, tracking participant changes, processing terminations and withdrawals and maintaining the Certent ESPP platform.
- Process equity transactions, prepare and process equity awards, vesting, and release restricted stock units
- Prepare supporting schedules for SEC reporting disclosures.
- Ensure that internal/external auditor requests for the annual audit and quarter reviews are accurately and timely prepared in support of public company requirements.
- Liaise with other departments, including HR, Accounting, Finance, Payroll, Tax and Legal to ensure key stakeholders are informed and aligned as appropriate.
- Identify and/or support continuous improvements to systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Perform other functions and duties as required.

The skills and experience that you will bring:
- 5 years of experience in internal audit, finance or accounting in a fast-paced corporate environment or 3 years and a CPA/public accounting experience
- CPA, CEP or MBA preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and an attention to detail required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience with NetSuite or BlackLine preferred
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, analytical abilities, and consistent follow-through, including project management skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies, developing strong relationships
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 annually. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
