WHAT'S THE ROLE?

As a Sales Engineer, you will be persuasive, charismatic and analytical. You will focus on building long term client relationships with energy utilities in our critical infrastructure security vertical.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in technical pre-sales activity, to develop accounts and build a funnel for growth. You will have sold and supported a variety of technology solutions to major customers in the industrial sector, with a successful capture rate. This position will support existing iEnet accounts, as well as driving new business and growth opportunities.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN IENET SALES ENGINEER:

  • Develop strategies, action plans, and relationships with our key vendors and channel partners to drive the engagement and our value proposition.
  • Call upon and meet with all potential influencers, and decision-makers within assigned industry segment(s)/accounts.
  • Qualify new opportunities for revenue potential, feasibility and risk.
  • Support business development manager in the entire sales process from initial contact, relationship development, through needs analysis, solution architecture, product demonstration, proposal of business solution (including driving pilots as needed) and win customer business.
  • Coordinate the necessary internal and external resources (Engineering, Management, and Operations), to track and close deals with potential clients.
  • Develop and provide subject matter expertise in security technology applications for critical infrastructure vertical.
  • Review and validate solution designs from other team members.
  • Master in-depth knowledge of iEnet’s technical solutions to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Review and validate proposed solution designs with program R&D team.
  • Prepare comprehensive Statements of Work for internal estimating and external pricing approval.
  • Secure require SOW artifacts (Signed/Approved SOW) and POs.
  • Participate in Project (SOW) kick off by providing all necessary artifacts, business context and intake forms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSEE/CSE or equivalent preferred.
  • 5 years technical sales to major accounts.
  • 3 years North America Energy vertical market experience desired.
  • Demonstrable skills in writing and preparing customer facing proposals, presentations and statements of work.
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
  • Industrial automation and networking experience a required.
  • Proven ability to support a sales campaign for a long sales cycle opportunity.
  • Willingness to travel average 30% of the time.
