Responsibilities

• Create and maintain functional expense allocations
• Create and maintain all financial schedules
• Oversee bi-weekly payroll
• Monitor all cash receipts and disbursements
• Perform monthly reconciliations of G/L, subsidiary ledgers, and checking accounts
• Produce monthly financial reporting package
• Inform CEO of critical financial trends and insights
• Review reports with the CEO, providing fiscal trends and insights
• Prepare additional financial reports, monitoring of budgets
• Prepare monthly budget analysis
• Contribute to the development of financial projections and analyses
• Maintain banking and credit card relationships
• Serve as primary point person for the annual audit
• Prepare records and reports for year-end audit by independent audit firm

Qualifications

• Alignment with mission, goals, and objectives
• Ability to work independently with a high level of energy and contribute as part of a larger team
• Strong understanding of, and ability to perform, generally accepted accounting principles, concepts, and practices
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts/pledges receivable, and payroll knowledge
• Proficiency with accounting software is required; Quickbooks and Salesforce knowledge is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MBA or CPA a plus
• Three plus years supervisory/controllership/CFO experience in a nonprofit environment required, with arts sector experience preferred
• Keeping abreast with current regulatory guidelines
• Proficiency with payroll processing, ADP knowledge preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with individuals and groups
• Personable and collaborative attitude
• Some evening and/or weekend work may be required at times
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission

Compensation

• Salary: 85k-90k
• 18.5 paid holidays per calendar year, including a one-week organization-wide break
• Starting rate of 10 vacation days annually
• 4 personal days/floating holidays annually
• 12 sick days per calendar year
