CARLEX is Hiring a Senior Human Resources Generalist Near Nashville, TN

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Represent the company in unemployment investigations and worker compensation lawsuits or mediations if needed
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to Carlex employees, and counsel when necessary
  • Create and adjust the job description database
  • Maintain a system for recruiting and tracking candidates for positions
  • Administer and follow up on disciplinary actions relating to attendance and points
  • Collaborate with union on employee issues related to the collective bargaining agreement
  • Work with HR management team to oversee HR processes and projects concerning Conversion Orientation, Benefits, Open enrollment, internal staffing, recruiting support, and support of company initiatives and HR strategy
  • Ensure compliance and accurate record management on personnel related documents, such as Form I-9, Leave/Attendance notifications, employee files, benefits, and workers compensation files
  • Work with HR management to standardize work flow, processes and best practices
  • Provide backup assistance for all functions within HR as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources Management or related field

Years of Experience:

  • 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience required

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required for business travel
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in HR processes and functionality
  • 3 years working with an HRIS – Taleo, ICiMS, UltiPro preferred
  • PHR certification preferred
  • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
