GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The part-time Office Assistant will be responsible for providing clerical support to the Department of Arts and Communication and Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Human Services. Responsibilities include maintaining department records, preparing agendas and minutes of departmental meetings, processing supply orders, and general office/clerical duties. Hours will be 8:00 am to 2:00 pm three days a week during the academic year.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong communication and organizational skills, attentiveness to detail and demonstrated clerical experience.
2. Ability to work amicably and tactfully with students, staff, and the general public.
3. Excellent time management skills, aptitude for proper task prioritization and a results-oriented work process.
4. Ability to type and familiarity with MS Office.
5. Strong document management skills including the ability to assemble items of information, work accurately with names, numbers, codes, and symbols, maintain accurate records and file materials in accordance with established procedures.

COMPENSATION: $17.00 per hour, 18 hours per week during the Academic Year (September - May). Non-benefited, Non-unit Position.
