In the position of Business Development Coordinator, reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for proactively engaging in activities that increase sales and performance targets in our Service Department. The successful candidate will be consistent follow-up contact for our customers and will build strong relationships with other departments and Cam Clark Motor Corp. dealerships to develop and generate revenue for new and existing Service customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers to remind them of upcoming appointments.
  • Will be responsible for covering the reception during the lunchtime period and cover the switchboard if needed.
  • Perform outbound post-service customer experience/satisfaction phone calls/texts the following day of servicing their vehicle.
  • Handling and filling the documents as needed.
  • Keep detailed notes in PBS Customer File “workplan” of all interactions made.
  • Daily updates/emails to Service/Sales Managers (location dependent) and General Managers for each store on customers that were contacted and if they were happy or require a Manager to reach out to them because of an issue.
  • Promote positivity when speaking to our customers and encourage repeat business.
  • Make phone calls to customers to book recall work that could be completed on their current vehicle, working with the parts team on restricted parts.
  • Contact special order parts when required, and if parts have not arrived, re-book customer appointments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • One (1) year of experience working as an appointment coordinator/business development coordinator in a dealership setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident and professional phone conduct.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong record of positive customer satisfaction results.
  • Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues.
  • Proven ability to work cohesively with team members, other managers & departments as part of a team.
