California Caregivers is Hiring an Administrative Scheduler Near Sacramento, CA

We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Administrative Scheduler to join our team. This pivotal role involves managing schedules for in-home caregiving services while providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional professionalism, a deep understanding of in-home caregiving services, flexibility to handle sudden changes, and the ability to step in as a fill-in caregiver in emergency situations.

Role and Responsibilities (75% Scheduling & 25% Administrative Support)

  • Scheduling:
  • Coordinate schedules for in-home caregiving services, ensuring optimal coverage for clients.
  • Schedule caregiver assignments based on client needs, caregiver availability, and geographic location.
  • Interact with clients and their families with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with our services.
  • Support with on-call after hours services, one week per month
  • Be prepared to step in as a fill-in caregiver for clients in the event of caregiver shortages or emergencies. Provide compassionate care and support to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining client records.
  • Generate and maintain accurate documentation related to scheduling, client information, and caregiver assignments.
  • Collaborate with the office team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Experience Level & Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience scheduling in a healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in the healthcare or caregiving sector.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of in-home caregiving services and a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving industry standards.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours and handle sudden changes in schedule or workload.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in healthcare administration is a plus

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Ability to read computer generated reports preferred.

Work Environment:

  • The job is performed in a traditional office environment with occasional assistance required in the home of clients to provide hands-on care as a last minute substitute.
