The Assistant Project Manager is paired with a project manager to gain project management experience by enhancing previously acquired skills. As the APM, this role offers the opportunity to develop skills in construction operations, client development & management, subcontractor relations, project planning, site safety, corporate culture, and organizational skills. 

A Day in The Life

• Set up and maintain budgets and cost reports with supervision by the Project Manager. 
• Set up and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project. 
• Collaborate with the development coordinator to create owner contracts, subcontracts, and change orders in Yardi. 
• Assist Project Managers in managing and tracking all contracting and billing.
• Set up and maintain all onsite construction documents, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions. 
• Manage job processes including Requests for Information (RFI’s), submittals, Change Order Logs, meeting minutes, and invoices. Review and log subcontract change orders.
• Assist with budgeting/bidding, qualifying, and awarding process for all subcontractors for individual projects. Assist with the preparation and presentation of the project Bid Book to tenants and/or owners. Value engineer job costs and negotiate as necessary.

Requirements

What You Bring

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, construction, or similar field. 
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Construction internship/ work experience preferred. 
• Yardi knowledge a plus.
