Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Mgr III - Contractor with our client in the financial industry. This is a hybrid contract position located in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas TX, Phoenix, AZ and Birmingham, AL.
Job Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully managing IT projects and delivering results while effectively managing project budgets and adhering to governance standards.
Responsibilities: - Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined and met.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed budgets, timelines, resource requirements, risk management strategies, and governance frameworks, in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Effectively manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Identify opportunities to optimize project costs and resource utilization, making recommendations to clients and stakeholders as needed.
- Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure the successful execution of project tasks within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor project financial performance, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders on budget status and financial projections.
- Collaborate with governance bodies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct post-project financial reviews to evaluate project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with client budgets and financial goals.
- Leverage experience in the banking sector, particularly in mortgage and lending, to manage IT projects that enhance client services and operational efficiency.
- Utilize project management tools such as Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence to plan, track, and manage project activities and documentation.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a focus on financial management and governance.
- Proficiency in using project management tools, including Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and governance bodies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals within budget constraints.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the banking sector, with specific expertise in mortgage and lending projects.
- PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
