As a Custodial Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of the assigned facilities. You will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a sanitary and organized environment for both employees and visitors. This position requires effective leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Supervise, train, and evaluate custodial staff.
Schedule and coordinate work assignments, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
Facility Maintenance:
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures.
Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.
Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and improvements.
Inventory and Supplies:
Manage custodial supplies and equipment inventory.
Place orders for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Monitor budgetary constraints and seek cost-effective solutions.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards.
Address and resolve issues related to cleanliness and maintenance promptly.
Implement best practices for efficient and effective custodial services.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Train staff on proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
Communicate regularly with facility managers and other stakeholders.
Address and resolve concerns or special requests from clients.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in custodial or facility management.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
Certification in custodial management or related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
Stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
