HR Generalist needed in the Sacramento area for a large manufacturing and maintenance organization. This person will function as a key member of the team, and contribute to various HR functions, including recruitment and benefits administration, ensuring the success of HR procedures and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-employment background checks and manage new employee onboarding.
• Administer employee and benefit files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with the HR manager on investigations and employee relations matters.
• Handle benefits administration, reporting, and communication with employees and carriers.
• Conduct exit interviews and maintain HR Information System records.
• Schedule and coordinate new hire and ongoing training sessions.
• Manage workers' comp cases and serve as the safety liaison between local safety teams and HSE representatives.
• Support the full recruiting process, from posting vacancies to screening candidates and assisting with offers.
• Coach local management on Employee Relations best practices.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily tasks.

Preferences:

• Familiarity with HRIS administration.
• Experience with policy review and maintenance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to handle routine clerical duties and special projects.
• Proven ability to work under general supervision and escalate issues when necessary.
