Lead Technical Analyst
Hybrid (Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, or Chicago, IL)
6-month Contract-to-Hire
$55-60/hr. depending on experience
The Enterprise-Wide Systems team at one of our largest Fortune 100 Energy clients (headquartered in the Baltimore, MD area) is actively hiring for a Lead Technical Analyst to support the multiple systems and servers in their data center split project. In this role, you will use your knowledge and skills to contribute to minor software development tasks, maintain servers and web applications, and oversee a team reviewing and monitoring systems and databases. This highly innovative group needs a technical, fast-paced, quick-learner who is passionate about working in the Energy industry.
Requirements:
- 5 years of professional experience working in Information Technology or related technical role and leadership/mentorship experience
- Proficient experience working with Unix and Unix Shell Scripting
- Experience with development languages and frameworks, specifically in Java/JavaScript, and ability to understand programming concepts
- Experience with database management (preferably Oracle) and application management
- Experience working with batch/job scheduling tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Support high-availability application technology to minimize power outages.
- Understand the relationship between databases, servers, and networks to best serve our Client’s customers.
- Provide oversight for technical teams; coordinate and support database team in patching efforts, upgrades, and maintenance, scheduling jobs, Unix and server support, etc.
- Contribute to any hands-on technical or systems support work; scripting or development oversight, database maintenance or monitoring, patching support, etc.
- Work with Application and Project Teams to answer questions related to setting up and maintaining their batch job schedules.
- Work in a fast paced, target driven, customer-focused, team environment.
- Use Learning Management System to continue education on industry specific applications and infrastructure.
