BronxWorks is hiring one (1) Part time Human Resources Assistant Intern for the Admin Program.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR Department with various administrative tasks, such as help create and file new hire files.
  • File and sort all currently employees files, remove terminated employees files and older files to storage.
  • Assist with Orientation, making copies of documents, collecting forms, assist with making employee IDs.
  • Draft, copy, fax and file memos, letters and other agency documents.
  • Assist with the collection of documents for audits and submission of proposals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent credentials required.
  • Some experience and knowledge of basic office work.
  • Proficiency in basic filing principles and standard correspondence formats.
  • Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
  • Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
  • Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
