Provides a variety of support function or services, administrative assistance of a complex nature for the CMIO department, or serve as a technical expert in an assigned program. Works involves responsibility for performing administrative duties requiring comprehensive skill and knowledge of organizations operations, policies and procedures. Serves as an intermediary between the CMIO and management, stakeholders/end users and the MIS team
Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System and its employees.
- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the BronxCare Health System (a) Safety and Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures and (d) Patient and Customer Service.
- Coordinates and maintains records for CMIO and staff .Serves as an intermediary between the CMIO and management, stakeholders/end users and the MIS team.
- Performs independent functions requiring the application of technical or specialized program knowledge; organizes and implements program activities; confers with management regarding program status and issues.
- Provides complex administrative assistance for an official; represents the supervisor at staff or other meetings; recognizes managers and staff priorities; schedules meetings and coordinates logistical arrangements for program, department or hospital efforts.
- Responsible for travel arrangements, meeting coordination and conferences
- Responsible for scheduling and preparing agenda for meetings, for securing requested information and for compiling various reports and analyses. Acts as a Meeting Recorder-summarizing action items precisely. Maintains the daily appointment calendar including staff calendars (PTO, on-call).
- Conducts research to assist the CMIO with inquiries or issues. Assists the CMIO with following up with end-users and off shore team, as required. Coordinates and maintains records for CMIO and staff
- Composes or drafts correspondence involving the interpretation of hospital rules, regulation and program responsibilities

- Responds to inquiries from officials, vendors, employees and the public regarding hospital matters; investigates and recommends corrective action to resolve complaints.
- Researches assigned issues, compiles pertinent program or fiscal information and prepares complex and ad hoc reports, spreadsheets and/or databases.
- Works independently and to exercises sound judgment and discretion.
Qualifications:- Four or more (4 ) years of office or related experience including two (2) years at advanced clerical level.
Training from a Vocational or Business School in office management, secretarial science or closely related areas or coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted.
- High School or GED
- Associate or Bachelors
- Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems and equipment
- Considerable knowledge of the principles of office management and supervision
- Ability to plan, organize, assign and evaluate work of staff performing a variety of functions.
