Here's what you'd do:

• Under direct supervision, responsible for performing any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary insurance data to prepare statements to patients' insurance carriers.
• May prepare notices to patients of the amount expected (or received) from insurance and the amount expected from the patient.
• Verifies insurance coverage with insurance companies and state agency programs.
• Accepts payments from patients or patient representatives.
• Set up payment arrangements based on payment plan policy.
• Processes inbound calls from patients, patient representatives, insurance companies, and other departments to provide assistance and resolve patient account billing inquiries.
• Resolves other billing inquiry assignments.
• Resolves inquiries quickly and accurately based on policies and procedures.
• Maintains records of contacts and agreements with patients or patient representatives.
• Reviews claims adjudicated by Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial carriers for appropriate billing.
• Addresses denied claims, claims pending for medical necessity, and lawsuits pending for supporting documentation or medical records by working with various teams such as clinic staff, registration staff, and coding staff to complete appeals.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

• Pay $10.12 - $18.80 /Hour.
• Hours: 8/40/WK.
• Length: Temp (6 Months).
