Overview

A busy and loving family in the Marina District of San Francisco, CA is looking for a part-time or full-time nanny to start as soon as possible. The family has two working parents who work East coast hours, and they need help in the mornings because of the time difference in working hours. Duties include handling wake up, breakfast, the drive to school, and then duties again in the evenings for dinner, bath, and bedtime. The family has 2 kids, ages 5-years-old, and 3.5-years-old. The ideal general schedule is part-time, Monday through Friday, split shift of 7am-9am and 5:30pm-7:30pm for a total of 20 hours per week. Additional hours can be offered for occasional overnight support when the parents travel and occasional date nights. Alternatively, the family can offer a full-time position with the schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7am-8pm, for a total of 52 hours and the addition of family assistant duties.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overall care for the kids, helping get them ready, fed, and off to school in the mornings, school pick-ups, taking to activities when needed, planning and accompanying to play-dates when needed, helping with homework, dinner, bath, and bedtime. For the full-time role, the candidate would be responsible for family assistant duties such as grocery shopping and other family errands, laundry, cooking, managing of other employees such as the house cleaners, child-related light housekeeping tasks such as completing any organizing projects needed, preparing snacks and meals, and keeping child areas tidy and picked up.

The ideal candidate is warm, friendly, flexible, is proactive but can also work as part of a team, can maintain an open communication with the family and overall be a positive and encouraging part of the children’s lives in a long-term capacity.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; the family car can be provided if needed, but ideally the candidate has a vehicle they can use for work. Candidates must be CPR and First Aid Certified, or willing to certify before employment begins, and be TrustLine registered, or willing to register. The hourly rate offered is $30-$40, based on experience, with the standard benefits of 2 weeks’ vacation, sick days, and holidays. Candidates must have a US Passport, Green Card, or EAC.
