Overview

A family is looking for a full-time, live-out housekeeper/nanny. Hours will ideally be Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, 40 hours per week. The family is flexible on schedule, but two days a week would need an earlier start/finish, 7:30am, as they seek someone to help walk the children (ages 8 and 9-years-old) for drop-off/pick-up from the bus stop (located in front of the home). The children are in school 8am-3pm.

Responsibilities

The role's primary focus is housekeeping, but the position requires the candidate to be comfortable around children when the nanny gets sick or the family needs backup. Primary responsibilities will include:

• Keeping the home tidy and guest-ready
• Laundry and ironing
• Running occasional errands
• Basic family cooking, setting the table, and grocery shopping if needed (although they mostly have everything delivered)

Qualifications

• Ability to travel is a plus, but not required.
• Prior experience as a housekeeper in a private home
• Should have a team-player mentality to get whatever is needed done
• Be very organized
• If something significant is broken or needs to be replaced you must be able/comfortable informing the assistant to handle it
