Overview

A seasoned housekeeper is sought for a formal, high-end home in NYC, to start ASAP. The schedule will typically be 9am-5pm Monday through Friday. This is the principals’ secondary residence - their primary residence is in upstate NY.

Responsibilities will include, though are not limited to; housekeeping, deep cleaning, and interior care of homes; laundering of clothes and linens; pressing/steaming, as needed; procuring household supplies and maintaining an inventory of consumable goods, including food and fresh goods; shopping and errands, as needed; daily interior checks of the home to evaluate physical condition, appliances and other household items, and submitting to management a list of needs and repairs; ensuring HVAC, audiovisual systems, lighting and all house systems are functioning properly, and keeping records of filter changes and maintenance schedules; receiving and setting up new items for the home; accompanying teenage children on activities; occasional babysitting and dog sitting, and more.

Candidates must be conscientious and considerate team-players, have a calm and focused disposition with self-starting tendencies, as well as understand the importance of utilizing discretion and confidentiality in the workplace. Other requirements are that candidates possess attention to detail, take pride in their work, have great communication skills and a willingness to be hands on with all aspects of the role, as well as have a positive and flexible attitude when responding to the changing requirements of the principals.

Only those candidates who are fully COVID vaccinated will be considered. The family are offering a salary of $80-$90k, as well as a full benefits package (401k/medical, dental, vision).
