Salary/Rate: $35 - $40 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm or 9am – 6pm. Flexible schedule to start earlier or later.
Summer Schedule: 5-day work week. During the summer schedule changes to working some weekends in Rye, NY. The schedule might shift to days off during the middle of the week, working 2/3 days in Rye (weekends) and 2 days in the city apartment. No need for sleepovers in Rye, NY.

Job Summary:
A young private family seeks to hire an experienced Housekeeper with impeccable attention to detail to manage the cleaning and organization of their private home in NYC with some support in Rye, NY in the summers mainly. The ideal candidate for this family would be someone who identifies as a self-starter, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working around children. Someone with detailed laundry experience and organizing spaces would be ideal for this family.
Responsibilities:

• All aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning of residence bedrooms and bathrooms; vacuuming, dusting, sanitization, proper garbage disposal, bed making, and organizing of bedrooms.
• Working as part of a team (Family Assistant/Nanny, and part-time Chef/Cook)
• Laundry: Laundering all laundry, including delicate clothes, and special treatment for clothes with stains, especially children’s clothes.
• Wardrobe management: Ironing and organization of clothes and placing them in all proper closets or storage based on the season
• Overseeing organizing projects in the residence, and creating smart storage solutions for the family
• Assist with travel packing/unpacking
• Cooking meals for the family from time to time. Very simple light meals, for example a protein and a vegetable.
• Ordering groceries from the preferred markets
• Keeping track of household items needed for cleaning, and placing orders
• Handling special requests, errands, and related duties as needed
• Must be comfortable working around 3 young children

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years related work experience in a home as a private Housekeeper
• Excellent references are required from current and previous employers
• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility to work overtime, and nights
• Team player and hardworking
• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Must be extremely hands-on
• Must come with a strong work ethic, and attention to detail
• US work authorization
• A valid Driver’s License is preferred
