Somerset White Client is Hiring a Housekeeper Needed Part-time! Near New York, NY
A Part-time Housekeeper is needed for a 6 story townhome, to assist the executive housekeeper with day to day responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable especially with schedule, comfortable going up and down 6 flights of stairs multiple times throughout the work day (there is no elevator in home) and must have experience working as a housekeeper in a private home setting!
Location: NYC (Greenwich Village)
Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays; 12:00 to 8:00pm with some future weekend/holiday availability
Compensation: $30.00 per hour MetroCard
General Duties:
- Working alongside executive housekeeper to ensure all aspects of the home are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times
- Tidying all rooms, including entryway, to ensure items are neatly stored and rooms look immaculate at all times
- Responsible for maintaining and keeping clean recycle and garbage bins within the home, and taking out all garbage and recycling
- Laundry, ironing, steaming, folding and putting away clothes
- Wardrobe management
- Collecting, unpacking, and putting away household deliveries, and organizing returns as needed
- Running errands as directed
- Greeting guests, couriers, and vendors at the door
- Checking all items in the home are in good working order and reporting problems
- Answering the intercom, admitting visitors, and taking messages, and ensuring all guests are always excellently looked after
- Looking after the family pets (2 hypoallergenic cats & 1 dog);
Candidates Must:
- Have good English skills
- Legally able to work within the United States
- Lives in New York City or surrounding area
- Must have 2-4 years' experience working in a private home
- Must be happy to be vaccinated
- Must be happy to work with pets (cats & dogs)
- Must be physically active

- Very organized, on time, reliable, and work focused
- Open to feedback and adaptable
- Team-player – no job is too small

Pay: $30.00 per hour
