General Summary: Brillient Corporation is currently seeking a Project Manager III to support it's Team in supporting a federal contract, FDA. This role will serve under the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) Office of Management supporting CDRH staff, including the Executive Sponsors and Steering Committees that have been formed to plan, develop, and implement the 2022-2025 CDRH Strategic Priorities. The Project Manager III will independently provide support to a Steering Committee and will collaborate with CDRH staff to identify, document, and coordinate project requirements. The Project Manager III will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating multiple projects over their full lifecycle.
Essential Job Functions:
• Be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.
• Oversee all aspects of projects.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of projects.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing efforts in response to task requirements.
• Formulate, communicate, and enforce quality work standards.
• Monitor progress and resolve any identified issues affecting successful product/service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all administrative and contractual requirements.
• Serve as primary point-of-contact with government contract and program management staff for reporting project status.
• Responsible for assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
Essential Job Tasks:
• Collaborate with Office leadership, senior management, and project teams to identify, document, and coordinate project requirements. Additionally, the contractor shall establish some aspects of project schedules, milestones, and responsibilities of the participating parties.
• Manage, plan, and coordinate the full lifecycle of projects ensuring that the goals and objectives are accomplished with the prescribed timeframe.
• Develops and establish project scope and project plans and timelines for each assigned deliverable using appropriate software.
• Monitor performance to assure commitments of all parties are being maintained.
• Generate various reports on progress of projects and various working groups to ensure successful project completion.
• Work with OM leadership in managing activities of the project team, including scheduling meetings, preparing issue-based agendas and official records of meetings.
• Keep abreast of the most recent project management policy and guidance.
• The incumbent maintains contact and working relationships with respect to current and future project activities.
• Participate in meetings with management and technical specialists across the Center to obtain and present information.
• Assemble and prepare materials for presentation or discussions, relative to the progress of work assignments/projects and provide supporting material for higher level management in support of Center projects.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Requirement: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management. Must have a project management certification
Other Requirement(s): This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder and the ability to obtain and maintain a Government public trust level security clearance. For a candidate that is a Green Card holder, they must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member.
Performance Requirements:
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines.
