Bridgeway Benefit Technologies is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Generalist Near Baltimore, MD

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Generalist to join our growing team at Bridgeway Benefit Technologies! The Accounts Receivable Generalist is responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, compiling financial reports, and ensuring posting to the proper accounts and general ledger. A successful Accounts Receivable Generalist will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and can manage multiple competing priorities with a high attention to detail, while providing a high caliber of customer service, both internally and externally.

This position is primarily based in our Baltimore, MD corporate office with some hybrid flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, verify, code, and process monthly customer invoices for subscription and hosting services, as well as customer professional services, and prepare 3rd party and other invoices as needed.
  • Responsible for applying customers' payments to outstanding invoices in accounting system.
  • Effectively communicate with customers on unpaid invoices by written or verbal communication.
  • Leverage spreadsheets and mathematical formulas to calculate license fees and other needed information.
  • Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries recording financial transactions.
  • Review contracts for payment amounts and terms.
  • Compare data from a variety of financial records to detect errors and discrepancies, reconcile accounts and record appropriately.
  • Work with management to order appropriate 3rd party products for customers, when needed.
  • Complete other administrative tasks, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of professional Accounts Receivable/Payable experience
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and principles
  • General math skills
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong time managing skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
  • Must be able to work with a high volume of customers and transactions
  • High degree of attention to detail and confidentiality
