The Program Manager is a member of the Hospital’s social service staff assigned to coordinate the care of the Star Program for Uniformed Services referrals admitted for inpatient treatment. The counselor also serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy and assures the delivery of quality treatment to all patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides individual and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other didactic sessions for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
• Documents patient history and identifies preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.

Qualifications

This opportunity is available to individuals who meet the following requirements:

• Education/Experience: Master's Degree in social work, counseling or related field. Licensure by the LASWBE / LSBLPC required. Experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health setting preferred. Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults; familiarity with follow-up resource services available to adults; skills in conducting marital and family group therapy.
• Licensure: LCSW or LPC required
• Hours: Determined by the Director of Clinical Services
