LightHouse Assistant Program Coordinator POSITION TYPE: Full time JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Program Coordinator is instrumental in the data portion of the LightHouse Program which consists of managing all phases of the computer information system and generating reports required by the funding source, partners, and Volunteers of America of North Louisiana. They will assist with the daily operation of the After School Enrichment Program and support the coordinator in daily operations to ensure quality services are being delivered. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for all data entry and management into the program database. This includes, but is not limited to, processing enrollment applications, inputting, attendance, and grades. Process scholarship documents. Prepare and process purchase orders for Children and Families department. Run reports as required by funding sources, partners and Volunteers of America. Assist in preparing letters, memos, reports, fliers and rosters. Manage meal program including the submitting of reports. Process new hire paperwork for the LightHouse Division. Build and maintain healthy relationships with youth in program. Assist with preparing and providing academic and enrichment instruction for LightHouse students Assist with providing and promoting activities for the participants that will enable them to develop physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally Assist with managing behavior at the learning sites and on field trips Assist with organizing and managing Teen Club Bossier activities. Communicate with parents regarding attendance of youth Attend workshops and in-service programs offered by Volunteers of America and other organizations All other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. High School diploma or G.E.D., and preferably some college experience. 2. Extensive computer and data management training and experience. 3. Prior experience in working with children and/or families in an education or social service setting. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The ability to work independently. Highly organized.
