Program Director

Summary of Position Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and coordinate all program operations to ensure that all state, federal, regulatory, organizational and accreditation standards and guidelines are fulfilled and that clients are receiving quality treatment and medical care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or Master’s level practice credential (LAC, LPC, or LCSW) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in addiction treatment or a related field preferred
  • Supervision and management experience preferred

Essential Duties:

  • Monitor census daily to maximize service utilization and ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations
  • Monitor and ensure overall maintenance and safety of the facility
  • Ensure that clients are receiving appropriate, nutritious meals in a safe and sanitary environment
  • Evaluate existing programs regularly to assess suitability, quality assurance and quality improvement
  • Oversee recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and orientation of qualified staff
  • Ensure that staff participate in required meetings, development and training
  • Monitor and guarantee accurate and timely billing and insurance reports/authorizations/re-certifications
  • Ensure coverage and completion of billing, insurance, intake, admission, and clinical duties and functions when regular staff members are on leave
  • Coordinate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop program budgets and monitor all program expenditures
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting critical incidents and taking corrective action as indicated
  • Responsible for investigating, addressing, and documenting client grievances
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations and conduct outreach activities
  • Identify potential volunteer or intern positions and ensure that volunteer activity is appropriately monitored
  • Provide supervision and communicate regularly with the Assistant Program Director or Clinical Supervisor on personnel, financial, clinical, and safety issues
  • Prepare and maintain required monthly/quarterly/annual reports
