Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting our mission. As the first hire in the HR department, the HR Manager will have the exciting opportunity to build and shape the HR function from the ground up. This role will oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and more. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with our organizational values and goals, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture where every team member can thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer benefits programs and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a healthcare or ABA setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in Texas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing recruitment processes and employee relations issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
