Project Manager, Real Estate DevelopmentReporting to the Director, Real Estate Development, the Project Manager, Real Estate Development is part of a team charged with the planning, financing, construction, conversion, and of supportive and affordable housing projects at Breaking Ground. Breaking Ground’s real estate pipeline includes new construction, conversion, and recapitalization of existing projects. The Project Manager works on multiple aspects of the affordable housing development process, including repositioning and recapitalizing existing projects in the Breaking Ground portfolio. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide support to Real Estate Development team with new and existing projects Prepare and coordinate the funding applications, grant requests, and RFP submissions Coordinate and review project due diligence during pre-development Participate in funder closing calls Prepare and submit construction requisitions, prepare check request vouchers, and work independently with other departments to ensure the successful planning and implementation of real estate projectsUndertake site visits to perform due diligence work and coordinate consultant access Report on project progress for Real Estate Development team Performs other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in supportive and affordable housing, real estate development, or Master’s degree in related field preferred Problem solver with an ability to work independently Strong oral and written communication skills are required Ability to organize, complete, and track multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft TeamsConsistent with NYC’s mandate, all Breaking Ground employees, interns, volunteers and subcontractors are required to be in receipt of an FDA authorized and/or approved COVID-19 vaccination and provide a one-time verification of immunization as a condition of employment.
