Description

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for providing company-wide human resources support. This includes providing support to client groups (typically interface with Sr. Managers, Managers and below) regarding employee relations issues, salary administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management. Provide support to the Director of Human Resources in communicating, delivering and influencing human resources strategies and procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
• Have thorough understanding and basic working knowledge of all aspects of human resources including benefits, compensation and payroll, benefits, workers compensation, employee relations, recruiting, on- and off- boarding, safety, succession planning and government compliance.
• Have the ability to back-up the Director of Human Resources in all functional areas.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as directed by Director.
• May assist with employee relations counseling and outplacement counseling as directed
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Education:

• BS or BA In Human Resources, Business or another related field
• 5 years of functional Human Resources experience
• 2 years knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to HR practices
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and exhibit initiative to work independently
• Demonstrated high level of organizational skills paying close attention to detail
• Demonstrates multi-tasking and time management skills
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
• Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
