Junior Project Manager (PM1) – Job Description:

Seeking a dynamic Junior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in coordinating people and processes, ensuring the successful delivery of small to medium-sized projects within defined timelines, budget constraints, and to the highest quality standards with a leader in insurance, investment and financial services. Reporting to an experienced Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will actively contribute to the development and management of project deliverables across the project management life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an experienced Project Manager to develop and manage project deliverables.
• Take ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, actively participating in the project management life cycle.
• Work closely with the Information Technology department, managing projects under the supervision of a senior project manager.
• Determine the most suitable framework for initiatives, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid, in consultation with the PMO lead.
• Ensure timely and on-scope project delivery, involving relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring and tracking progress effectively.
• Manage changes to project scope and schedule through appropriate change management processes.
• Utilize tools and techniques to measure project performance and conduct risk management to minimize project risks.
• Facilitate and document project meetings successfully.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the project team under the guidance of the PMO.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or related work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of project management experience.
• Demonstrated skills in managing small to medium-sized IT projects.
• Proficient in project planning, change control, risk management, and communication at all organizational levels.
• Eagerness to enhance project management practices through the implementation of new techniques and tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in managing projects using Agile Scrum methodology is preferred.
• Experience in managing software development projects is a plus.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications are advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
