Bluegreen Vacations Corporation is Hiring a Payroll Manager Near Boca Raton, FL

Purpose: Responsible for leading and overseeing the operations and compliance of a complicated multistate payroll with a significant amount of variable compensation programs, maximizing the efficiencies of the payroll staff as well as oversight of payroll tax compliance. The Director will provide functional and compliance expertise for all aspects of Bluegreen’s payroll administration. The role will also participate in executing strategic initiatives that will help evolve and scale the payroll function in a fast paced, highly analytical, and dynamic environment. Will also ensure compliance with Company policies and statutory regulations, work in cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and standardization within the division and nationwide. Responsibilities: Leads and oversees the preparation of a complex payroll processed in compliance with federal and multi-state laws. Provides direct reports with coaching and development opportunities and addresses performance issues as appropriate. Evaluates and analyzes existing payroll policies and procedure and implements changes and/or quality control measures leading to best-practice operations. Ensures Payroll/HRIS system is set up and updated to reflect current associate data, including wages, deductions, time-off accruals, garnishments, etc. Manages the regular preparation of relevant management reports. Oversees the calculation and processing of special checks; reviewing, editing, and making corrections and adjustments as needed. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory reporting requirements and guidelines, and compliance with all internal policies, procedures and internal controls. Maintains knowledge of existing and new payroll related legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee data; ensuring all payroll information, files and records are maintained in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Oversees the completion of internal and external payroll tax and accounting audits Responsible for W2 reviewing and testing along with tax notices Review tax updates for Ultimate and research impact to Bluegreen and system Manage and provide payroll statistics Multi worksite reporting Reviews 941 and SOD (statements of deposit) Quarterly tax reviewing and creating files for UltiPro Quarterly tax adjustment payments and journal entries Audit inquiries and follow up Update unemployment rates in UltiPro and spreadsheet DOL statistics for 12th of month works – MA, SC, and MI Oversee garnishment set up, unclaimed wages letters and reporting to accounting. Review and approve documentation of standard operating procedures. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field Minimum 5-7 years payroll experience and a minimum of 5 years progressive supervisory experience with prior management experience in an organization of 2,000 associates and multi-state locations. Multi-company experience strongly preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of Payroll and Accounting procedures, multi-state wage and hour laws, payroll tax and regulations. Ceridian Dayforce experience required. Experience processing multi-state payroll in Dayforce required. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in order to document policies, procedures, and processes to deal effectively with all levels of the organization Must be able to successfully supervise associates. UltiPro experience preferred, including proficiency with Business Intelligence reporting tools Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and juggle between regional, divisional and corporate demands Outstanding project management Strong influencing skills with peers and senior management Ability and willingness to travel as needed Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
