Blue Chip Group, Inc. is Hiring a HR Assistant Near Salt Lake, UT

The Human Resources Assistant will support a variety of human resources, payroll, and safety activities. The HR Assistant will also assist with record-keeping and HRIS entry.

  • Greet employees and visitors and provide them with the support they need.
  • Manage security and card access system.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and orders.
  • Assist employees with questions or point them to the right person who can assist them.
  • Assists the HR team in recruitment efforts, including posting jobs on various job boards, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, coordinating background checks and drug screenings, and conducting reference checks.
  • Supports HR team with projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Assists Payroll by gathering and inputting data, performing assigned tasks before the pay run to ensure that staff members are compensated correctly and on time, and working to resolve discrepancies in payments as a matter of urgency.
  • Completes requests for verification of employment and unemployment paperwork.
  • Assists the Safety team with safety tasks, i.e., follow up on training/documentation signatures, sending notification blasts/updates, centralizing documentation and uploading it onto SharePoint safety site, managing users, assigning training, managing the safety/food safety calendar, and assisting with drills and audits.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of employee appreciation and recognition events.
  • Assists the Executive team with requests as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a must.
  • Friendly and outgoing, have a pleasing personality, be courteous and polite, possess a customer-centric approach to problem solving, and the ability to communicate with a diverse workforce.
  • Organized, resourceful, and have great attention to detail skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at prioritizing, scheduling, and multitasking.
  • Fast and eager to learn and grow.
  • Able to handle office equipment and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of Paycom is a plus.
  • Able to adhere to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentiality, and have a strong sense of integrity.
  • Punctual and reliable.
