Description Position Summary: The Housing Subsidy Administrative Assistant will work alongside the Housing Subsidy Coordinator to provide support to applicants and current tenants within the program. The Administrative Assistant will be in direct contact with subsidy recipients/applicants, family members, advocates, and Care Managers to provide support in submission of documentation for approval and maintenance of their OPWDD Housing Subsidy.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Communicate with applicants, current tenants, advocates and Care Managers, as well as Housing Subsidy Program team members, via phone, email and other applications.
- Answer inquiry calls and share application materials.
- Assist with development, preparation and distribution of marketing materials, applications, and other informational resources pertaining to the Housing Subsidy.
- Coordinate a schedule of meetings for collection of required documentation.
- Assist with tracking subsidy budget required information.
Attendance/Punctuality : is consistently at work and on time to fulfill the specifications of the job while working within the full time (35 hours per week) schedule. The Days/Times of work are flexible to meet the needs of the People being supported and the Program contact needs, but the standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak, hear, see, and use various forms of communication devices (computers, phones, etc.) to compile, share, and communicate with applicants, advocates and Care Managers, as well as Housing Subsidy Coordinator, in person and via email or other applications.
Work Environment: Due to the nature of the position, must be willing and able to travel to different locations, by various means of public and/or private transportation. Conditions of all work-related locations are not easy to predict. Generally, there are no specific work environment issues to deal with, although there are some sites where there are stairs that need to be navigated.
The position requires the ability to work in a busy, occasionally noisy office, with people coming in and out throughout the day.
Qualifications Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED - Required
- Bachelors Degree - Preferred
- Experience with housing subsidies and/or developmental disabilities - Preferred
