Position: Adult Day Services Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWOW) Program Supervisor Summary: Are you passionate about providing comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings? Block Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Supervisor for our Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWW) program. In this role, you will lead and manage the DHWW program, overseeing staff, coordinating community outings and activities, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations and standards. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff, including Direct Support Professionals.
Coordinate schedule for community outings, recreational activities, volunteering sites, and skill-building sessions tailored to participants' interests and goals.
Manage program resources effectively, including transportation, activity supplies, and budget allocation.
Coordinate with vendors and community partners to facilitate access to resources and services that support participant goals and interests.
Provide direct support and assistance to participants during community outings and activities, promoting independence, socialization, and community integration.
Ensure the safety, well-being, and engagement of participants during community-based activities.
Review daily data entries and attendance records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and billing standards.
Maintain communication with families, correspondents, state agencies, and other entities involved in the lives of participants.
Demonstrate appropriate interactions between staff and participants in accordance with regulations and institute policies.
Ensure program staffing ratios are appropriate for the day and oversee staff breaks.
Organize and communicate staff lunch and breaks schedules.
Mandatory attendance at required in-service training sessions and compliance with regulations and institute policies.
Master the use of software systems and technology utilized by the agency.
Consistent attendance and punctuality.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Direct Support Professionals. Qualifications Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Driver's license required.
CPR, SCIP, AMAP certifications required.
