As an Accounting Associate in the construction industry, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities:

· Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

· Assist with the preparation of client invoices and monitor accounts receivable aging.

· Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

· Track and reconcile company credit card transactions.

· Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

· Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger.

· Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

· Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering relevant financial data and assisting with analysis.

· Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

· Assist with internal and external audits as needed, providing documentation and support.

· Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy.

Project related:

· Collaborating with the project manager to develop a detailed, cost-effective budget for the project.

· Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.

· Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes.

· Preparing cost analyses by interpreting projects' financial data and information.

· Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.

· Researching market trends and projecting construction-related price increases/decreases.

· Developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

· Keeping abreast with both the construction and accounting industry.

Qualifications:

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Prior experience in accounting or finance (1 -3 years), preferably in the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in accounting software ( QuickBooks, Paychex, Procore ) and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Salary Range: $45,000 to $65,000

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
